Verdra was founded on a simple belief: every business, regardless of size, should be able to understand and reduce its environmental impact — without needing a team of consultants or a six-figure budget.

Why we exist

Climate reporting has historically been the domain of large corporations with dedicated sustainability teams. Small and medium businesses — which collectively account for over 50% of global emissions — have been left behind. Verdra bridges that gap with affordable, accurate, and actionable carbon tracking tools.

Our no-greenwashing commitment

We believe honesty is the foundation of real sustainability progress. That means:

• Transparent methodology. We publish the emission factors and calculation methods we use, sourced from EPA, DEFRA, and IEA data.
• No inflated claims.We will never overstate the impact of reductions or make misleading "carbon neutral" promises.
• Reduction first.We prioritize actual emission reductions over offsets. Offsets can play a role, but they're not a substitute for cutting emissions at the source.
• Honest reporting. Our reports clearly distinguish between measured data and estimates, so you always know the confidence level of your numbers.

Our approach

We use emission factors from the world's most trusted sources — the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), and the International Energy Agency (IEA). Our calculations follow the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the most widely used international accounting standard for carbon emissions.
